Dr. Elke Lipka is the President and Chief Executive Officer of TSRLabs, having been with the company for more than 20 years. Under her leadership, TSRLabs has built a reputation as the preclinical CRO of choice for strategically moving complex drug candidates toward the clinic. Dr. Lipka has secured nearly $20 million in non-dilutive funding to advance TSRLabs’ portfolio and expand partnerships with academic, government, and industry innovators across the United States and Europe. She has shaped TSRLabs’ collaborative model to give early-stage developers access to seasoned pharmaceutical scientists, state-of-the-art facilities, and integrated preclinical services.

Her career spans leadership roles at Parke-Davis, Pfizer, and Esperion Therapeutics, where she developed deep expertise in pharmacokinetics, formulation, and drug safety evaluations for small molecules and biologics. Dr. Lipka is a board member of the Preclinical Drug Development Platform (PCDDP), a state-of-the-art facility situated on the Potchefstroom campus of North-West University in South Africa. She is recognized for her ability to build multidisciplinary teams, forge strategic partnerships, and manage the operational and financial growth of life sciences organizations.

Dr. Lipka earned her B.S. in Pharmacy and Ph.D. in Pharmacology from Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt, Germany, and her MBA from the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business. She was also recognized as one of Purpose Jobs’ “Top Women in Tech to Know in 2026.” She is committed to empowering women, minority scientists, and entrepreneurs to reach their fullest potential and strengthen the life sciences ecosystem.

Ms. Dawn Reyna joined TSRLabs in 2007 as Quality Assurance Unit Manager and was named Senior Director of Laboratory Services in 2014. She was promoted to COO in November 2018. Prior to joining TSRLabs, Dawn held management positions within quality assurance at Pfizer, a global drug development firm, and MPI Research, an early clinical-stage contract research organization.

Dawn brings over 18 years of research and quality assurance expertise to TSRLabs, having managed GLP-compliant quality systems in fast, results-driven environments. Dawn is a registered Quality Assurance Professional in Good Laboratory Practices and received her B.S. in Biology from Western Michigan University.

Dawn’s leadership skills and experience are evident in her ability to deliver high-quality results that meet internal and collaborator objectives.

Ms. Shelly Butske has been a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Michigan for more than 20 years. She earned her undergraduate accounting degree from Michigan State University and her MBA from Wayne State University.

She spent approximately eight years with Plante & Moran in Southfield, completing audit and tax-related assignments for privately held companies, primarily in the manufacturing and life sciences sectors. After Plante & Moran, she served for eight years as Controller and later CFO of Ash Stevens, a contract development and manufacturing organization specializing in small-molecule API manufacturing and research and development contracts with the U.S. government.

She has participated in five ERP implementations, including Epicor, SAP, and Microsoft Dynamics. Shelly also has experience in human resources, including employee benefits, 401(k), and pension plans.

Dr. John Domagala has worked with TSRLabs as a consultant and scientific advisor since 2010. Trained as a synthetic medicinal chemist, John has 45 years of experience in anti-infective drug design, microbiology, and drug development. He spent 30 years at Warner-Lambert/Pfizer working across multiple drug classes and mechanisms. He became Senior Director of Infectious Diseases, with responsibility for more than 30 projects spanning screening through IND submission.

He served on the In-License Team, evaluating more than 100 drug opportunities at all stages of development and contributing to the acquisition of several compounds and two companies. After Pfizer closed its Ann Arbor operations, John became a consultant, guiding universities and biotechnology companies through antibacterial and antiviral drug development.

Both at Pfizer and as a consultant, John has served on multiple interdisciplinary teams tasked with advancing compounds from lead to IND. Through this work, he developed a strong understanding of the importance of fit-for-purpose development studies within budget constraints. John brings this scientific knowledge and leadership experience to TSRLabs.

Dr. Jessica Reed is a seasoned pharmaceutical executive and organic chemist with more than 25 years of experience advancing drug discovery and development programs. At TSRLabs, she provides scientific leadership across preclinical projects, with a focus on strategic guidance, regulatory insight, and effective project execution.

Outside of TSRLabs, Dr. Reed currently serves as CEO and board member at Diapin Therapeutics and Vice President of Development at GeneToBe, Inc. Her career includes successful leadership and support across 10 INDs and seven NDA/sNDA submissions. Dr. Reed has also contributed to the advancement of five preclinical candidates, including dacomitinib (Vizimpro), an approved treatment for non-small cell lung cancer.

Her therapeutic expertise spans oncology, CNS, and metabolic diseases. She has led cross-functional teams across early-stage discovery and clinical development at Pfizer, the Sarcoma Alliance for Research Through Collaboration (SARC), Millendo Therapeutics, and other organizations. With a PhD in Organic Chemistry from the University of Leeds, Dr. Reed is known for her hands-on leadership, analytical mindset, and dedication to mentoring multidisciplinary teams.

Lisa brings more than 25 years of hands-on pharmaceutical experience spanning the full drug development journey, from preclinical formulation and analytical method development to clinical manufacturing, Module 3 regulatory submissions, and post-approval lifecycle management. She began her career at Parke-Davis and Pfizer before joining Velesco Pharma as its first employee. During her 16 years there, she built and led a team that grew alongside some of the industry’s most complex programs, including a decade-long project that resulted in an approved treatment for Duchenne muscular dystrophy. Lisa later served as Senior Director and Site Head of Pace Life Sciences’ Ann Arbor location before founding her consulting firm, Strategic CMC Insights.

Lisa holds a B.S. in Biochemistry from the University of Michigan and an M.S. in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. She also holds graduate certificates in International Biopharmaceutical Regulatory Affairs from Northeastern University and Biotech Project Management. Her CMC regulatory experience spans submissions accepted in the U.S., Europe, Canada, Australia, and the U.K., and she is equally fluent in the science behind the strategy.

Dr. Gregory E. Amidon is Research Professor Emeritus of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Michigan. He has 28 years of industrial experience in research and development roles at leading pharmaceutical companies, with expertise in discovery support, lead selection, and formulation development for preclinical and clinical testing. He is recognized for his work in characterizing the physical, chemical, and mechanical properties of active pharmaceutical ingredients, excipients, and products, as well as developing scientific strategies for dosage form development and oral bioperformance.

Following his industrial career, Dr. Amidon served as Research Professor of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Michigan for 14 years, from 2007 to 2021. His research interests included cocrystal performance; the physical and mechanical characterization of excipients and active pharmaceutical ingredients; spray-dried materials and formulations; and the development of in vivo-relevant dissolution methodologies related to oral bioperformance.

Dr. Amidon served on the United States Pharmacopeia (USP) Council of Experts from 1990 to 2015 and the USP Board of Trustees from 2015 to 2025. He is currently a member of the USP Dosage Forms Expert Committee for the 2025–2030 term. In 2015, he was elected President of the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists (AAPS). His honors include the Ebert Prize from the American Pharmacists Association, the 2015 USP Champion of Quality Award, and the 2014 AAPS Research Achievement Award in Physical Pharmacy and Biopharmaceutics. Greg earned his BS in Medicinal Chemistry and PhD in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from the University of Michigan.

Gerry Cox brings more than 30 years of leadership experience in the pharmaceutical and life sciences industries to the TSRLabs Board of Directors. He began his career at Pfizer, where he served as Senior Finance Director, overseeing operations, financial strategy, and business development initiatives. Gerry later co-founded Velesco Pharmaceutical, a contract development and manufacturing organization, where he served as Chief Operating Officer and played a central role in building and scaling the company’s operations. Most recently, he held senior executive positions with Pace Analytical Life Sciences, further broadening his expertise in the biopharma services sector.

Gerry’s background spans finance, operations, and strategic leadership, with a proven record of guiding organizations through growth and transformation. Based in Boston, he also provides TSRLabs with enhanced connectivity to the East Coast biotechnology and life sciences ecosystem, complementing the company’s Ann Arbor headquarters. Gerry’s appointment strengthens TSRLabs’ ability to support pharmaceutical, biotechnology, academic, and government partners with early-stage development strategies and science-driven solutions.

Dr. Munk has extensive experience in drug discovery, development, and manufacturing as both a scientist and a manager. He served as CEO and President of Ash Stevens Inc., a full-service active pharmaceutical ingredient development and manufacturing organization. From 1997 to 2017, Ash Stevens received 12 FDA approvals to manufacture innovator drug substances under his leadership. These approvals included the oncology drugs bortezomib (Velcade), busulfan (Busulfex), clofarabine (Clolar), 5-azacitidine (Vidaza), ponatinib (Iclusig), and ixazomib (Ninlaro). Ash Stevens also received six NIH research contracts under his leadership, including four competitive contract renewals.

Prior to joining Ash Stevens in 1997, Steve worked at Allergan, Inc., initially as a medicinal chemist and subsequently as co-team leader of the adrenergic drug discovery team.

Steve’s work has been documented in numerous publications and patents. He is a co-author of the 2016 book Managing the Drug Discovery Process: How to Make It More Efficient and Cost-Effective. He has also served as an Adjunct Professor of Chemistry at Wayne State University and on the Henry Ford Community College Biotechnology Advisory Board.

Steve served on the Steering Committee of the Chemistry in Cancer Research Working Group of the American Association for Cancer Research from 2008 to 2010 and 2011 to 2013, serving as Chairman in 2014. He also served on the Board of Directors of MichBio from 2008 to 2014 and as Chairman from 2010 to 2014. Steve earned his PhD in Organic Chemistry from the University of California, Berkeley.
